HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM: COCA Restaurants’ confidence in Vietnam continues to grow with plans to open its fourth restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City in June this year.

The move is a part of a wider expansion strategy in the booming Southeast Asian country to to continue opening COCA Restaurants over the next five years and grow their leadership on the premium hot pot dining market.

“We are delighted to announce the further growth of our Coca Restaurants brand in Vietnam,” said brand franchise owner, Managing Director Trevor MacKenzie of COCA and Mango Tree Restaurants Worldwide.

“We have enjoyed seven years of success through our restaurant concept and we look forward to growing further, offering a premium culinary experience to diners throughout the country in key urban centres such as Hanoi, Danang and Hue.”

COCA Restaurants has pioneered a premium shared dining experience in Asia with over 30 restaurants across the region, featuring healthy menus of carefully selected high quality meats, seafood and vegetables.

The COCA brand heritage started in 1957 when Khun Srichai Phanphensophon opened the first Coca restaurant in Bangkok, launching the suki trend in Thailand. The pioneering spirit continued when the group’s CEO and celebrity chef Pitaya Phanphensophon, Srichai’s son, opened the first Mango Tree restaurant in the heart of Silom in 1994.

“COCA has always been a special brand for us. It is a core part of our DNA and a very strong fit for Vietnam which shares many of Thailand’s culinary traditions,” added Mr MacKenzie.

“Our diners in Vietnam appreciate the quality, the Thai ingredients and variety of our a la carte menus offering both Chinese and Thai styled cuisine. We offer innovation through Thai oriented lunch sets and special soups such as pork bone soup that was custom made special for the Vietnamese market and of course our famous tom yum soup.

COCA’s existing restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam are located in Hung Vuong Plaza – District 5, CT Plaza Airport, and Vincom Centre B.

Other brands under the parent company include the Thai restaurant chain Mango Tree – with the group operating more than 70 restaurants and cafes in 15 countries in Asia, the Middle East, and the USA.
